Join the New Mexico History Museum in Santa Fe on Sunday, April 19, 1 - 3 p.m. for an opening reception for the exhibition, "A Question of Power."
The exhibition captures the leadership of three Diné (Navajo) women who led a successful campaign against the construction of the Desert Rock coal power plant between 2004-2011 in Farmington, New Mexico. It features 40 photographs, as well as video and audio interviews by photographer Carlan Tapp. Tapp will attend the opening reception and will answer questions and chat with visitors about his work. Sarah Jane White, one of the three Diné women who led the resistance will also be at the event.
Light refreshments courtesy of the Museum of New Mexico Foundation Women’s Board will be served. Included with museum admission.
