I can’t believe it’s the 65th Rodeo de Santa Fe, I would have thought this would be the 342nd by now! Ha It’s rodeo time and here’s the details: Get ready for the 65th Rodeo de Santa Fe! This year, we are bringing in Slim Garner with some of the best rodeo entertainment you will ever see. You won’t want to miss a second of the rodeo action. Slim and our bull fighters Luke Kraut and Clifford Maxwell will bring even more excitement during each performance. Get ready for the heart-pounding, dirt-slinging, action-packed performances of top PRCA rodeo athletes and top PRCA rodeo entertainment.
65th Rodeo de Santa Fe is fun for the entire family, with many events for the little ones! The Mutton Bustin’ and youth barrel racers continue to be a crowd favorite of young and old alike! Not to mention the carnival midway, concessions, vendors and a beer garden.
65th Rodeo de Santa Fe began in 1949 when Roy Butler, Austin “Slim” Green, Gene Petchesky, Paul Ragle, Paul Rutledge and few others had a dream and determination to organize a professional rodeo in Santa Fe, NM. This dream exceeded their ambitious expectations and today remains one of the top 60 PRCA Rodeos in the nation. Last year’s Rodeo de Santa Fe drew over 500 contestants, including World Champion cowboys Taos Muncy, Trevor Brazile and JW Harris – a roster we can expect to see again this year with more up and coming champions.
In true rodeo fashion, the 65th Rodeo de Santa Fe will kick off with its annual parade in beautiful downtown Santa Fe on June 14 at 11:00 am.
Rodeo is from June 18 ~ 21
