Thank y0u PNM for inviting me along with a number of the cities leaders for a fact based conversation about a city operated utility company. Yes there are pro’s and con’s but when it comes down to the bottom line and the almighty dollar and unless we have $300 Million lying around to be invested..I’d consider it but since we don’t this wouldn’t be a wise choice for the city and it’s citizens…but this is just my opinion.
I hope we can open up a dialogue about this with the entire city and it’s citizens and business merchants.
Like Sayuri stated…”we all care about the children, and we all care about our community and we all need to work together to understand all the details involved with this kind of investment with taxpayers money!”
I think that Matthew, Sayuri and Ray and the rest of the PNM team presented a great discussion that fairly had the pro’s and con’s about what it cost to start up a utilities company. I think that the public needs to educate themselves about the cities plans and express your thoughts on this issue.
We need to discuss this people…it’s our money!
FUN FACT: DID YOU KNOW THAT PNM, in 2013, Donated over $18.000.000 in Santa Fe alone….WOW!
