About the artists:
Kiesha Cotton is a soulful vocalist with vibrant sound. Hailing from Southern California, this songstress adds a unique element to New Mexico’s music scene. Beginning in the church and branching out as a background vocalist and writer for vairous projects in Los Angeles, Kiesha has recently fallen in love with live band performances. She truly enjoys entertaining and it shows. Her passion on the stage, interaction with the crowd, and vocal talent makes you feel the power of music.
D’Santiago “El Brujo” Nava a native of Santa Fe, NM brings a
blend of rhythmic sounds from his indigenous culture, childhood love of classic rock, classical guitar training, nuevo flamenco and all eras of blues. D’Santi has been a musician for over 40 years. He currently plays as a soloist, with the Brujo Trio sharing Nuevo Flamenco originals, is lead guitar and leader of Underground Cadence (Rock/Blues Band), collaborates with Shelley Morningsong and Aaron J. Trumm, duos with local vocalists and as a musician for hire in all music genres. He is a 2017 New Mexico Music Award winner.. D’Santi Nava believes “playing music brings healing to the soul!”
Chris Riggins graduated from Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelors of Science in Music and a Music Technology Minor. After moving to Santa Fe, Chris took a few years focusing on his main project, a thrash metal band that went by the name of 3 Weeks Later. Chris is the main Audio Engineer at Warehouse 21 and maintains the Eli Farmer Recording Studio as well as running sound for most of the concerts hosted by Warehouse 21. Since his time at Warehouse 21, he has come in contact with D’ Santi Nava and is currently an active member in both the Brujo Trio and Underground Cadence. Chris is a composer, guitarist, horn player, vocalist and wears many muscial hats around Santa Fe, NM
Deanna Nava de Angel a native of Santa Fe and was inspired to play drums at a very young age. Influenced by the love of music within the family, from live music during family gatherings to listening to the music of older siblings as she grew up. Deanna is a self taught drummer and is greatly influenced by legendary drummers, John Bonham and Michael Derosier. In addition to her love of Rock and R & B music, she also is inspired by Latin music which was introduced to her as a child by her older brother D’Santi Nava, and by her parents Dolores and Andy Nava. Deanna has recently began playing percussion and is proud to play with the Brujo Trio. Deanna also plays drums with local band Underground Cadence.
