Live Stand Up Comedy on July 31st @ 8:30pm, the historic Jean Cocteau Cinema will be home to a night of live standup comedy, with Patrick Hastie and Matt Ziemak, as part of their “Two Weeks on the Road” tour.
Live Stand Up Comedy features Patrick Hastie who is a comedian from Glenwood, Iowa who now lives in Brooklyn, New York. He co-produces the popular monthly show JACKKNIFE COMEDY at The Creek and The Cave in Queens, he can be heard weekly on THE NOSTALGIC FRONT podcast and he has been featured on The Chive, College Humor and The Interrobang. He is a very nice guy and his 5 year plan is to be cool and live forever!
Live Stand Up Comedy will also have Matt Ziemak who is a young man from Tucson, AZ. He was a finalist in the 2016 Arizonas Funniest Comedian contest presented by the Tempe Improv. He’s performed in the St. Louis Fly Over comedy festival, Big Pine Comedy Festival, and two consecutive years at Bird City Comedy festival. Matt’s comedy draws you in with its sweet outer shell and keeps you hooked with its inner grittiness. Kinda like a crispy M&M, which I think we can all agree is the best M&M and we are grateful for M&M and the whole Mars company for bring the crispy M&M back into production. Almost as grateful as you will be to yourself for checking out Matt Ziemak.
Tickets are $10! This show will be hosted by local comedian Jesse Leigh, and is brought to you by your friendly, local, neighborhood comedy troupe: Wayward Comedy (like us on Facebook)
