The Liquid Muse and Edible Magazine present the Chef and Shaker Challenge on Saturday, June 2, 7-10 pm. Sixteen chef-bartender teams from acclaimed restaurants in Santa Fe and Albuquerque present their food-and-cocktail pairings.
Guests vote for the Chef and Shaker Challenge Winner in the following category. “People’s Choice” and a professional panel selects “Judge’s Pick.” A portion of ticket sales plus each winning chef’s $250 prize money is donated to Cooking With Kids on behalf of their restaurants. The 2017 winning chefs Marc Quinones of Mas at Hotel Andaluz, and David Gaspar de Alba of Artichoke Café return to defend their titles.
In addition to fun, food, cocktails and live entertainment, a live auction raises money for the Helen David Relief Fund. The Chef & Shaker Challenge raised over $7000 in charitable donations in its previous two years. (Tickets $90+fees online, $100 at the door)
