I began the week feeling extremely motivated. I woke up everyday at 5:45 AM and made it to the gym around 6 AM. I would generally do Cardio. I started using the Elliptical machine which is easier on my knees. I began doing 15 minutes and moved up to 20 minutes by the end of the week. One of the days I decided to try the 30 minute express workout, that was hilarious because I did not read the instructions and just did all the machines but not the steps that give you the cardio in between the machines. Like I say it’s a learning experience, still getting used to exercising daily has been fun.
Another challenge I faced was emotional eating. For many years I stated that I never believed I had an issue with emotional eating. I felt that I ate when I was hungry but not when I was sad or mad. But during week one I dealt with a situation that surfaced with a passed relationship. This was a relationship I was in for 10 years but I felt emotional and weak following the situation that occurred. I immediately sought comfort food but my friend, David insisted we go to Subway. That choice sustained me and I was very happy I didn’t give in to old habits.
I know I got to the weight I am over many years of bad choices but now, I’m looking forward to losing over time with many years of good choices.
