Zouk refers to both: a fast-paced, percussion-driven music genre and dance style originating from the French Caribbean (Martinique/Guadeloupe) in the 1980s, and its popular derivative, Brazilian Zouk.

Brazilian Zouk is a fluid, social partner dance born from Lambada, known for its flowing, sensual movements, and dramatic head-turns.
