Santa Fe Workshops free artist talk series returns this summer with special evening presentations open to the community.

Explore the expansion of photography beyond the traditional frame by visual artists Holly Roberts, Maura Allen, and Norah Levine.

Each presentation examines the interplay between photography and the tactile processes that define their work, including screen-printing, collage, encaustic, and more. Our speakers share firsthand how images can be layered, dissected, and reimagined under the influence of added texture, color, and manipulation.

Often working at the intersection of digital and hand-crafted artistry, our speakers also demonstrate the enduring contribution of tactile processes within the contemporary conversation.
