  • Santa Fe, New Mexico United States (map)

Do you already have a bit of Salsa experience? Do you feel like you can survive a full song on the social dance floor, but want to add a few more moves to your repertoireโ€ฆ?

The first 30 minutes of each class focuses on footwork, to develop fundamental skills such as balance, coordination, musicality, and timing.
The remaining hour of each class is spent in partner work, learning and practicing turn patterns.

Born and raised in New York City, Honey Villarreal has always loved to dance. She trained in classical ballet with the Joffrey Ballet School for ten years when she was young, performing on stage at Lincoln Center and Brooklyn Academy of Music. After college and career took her away from home for a few years, she returned to NYC, this time settling in Brooklyn.

Honey started dancing Salsa in 2015, at a popular studio in Downtown Brooklyn. Though she was new to Latin dance, she became enamored with Salsa, quickly added Bachata to her repertoire, and found her true love in Cha Cha. In addition to taking classes and attending weekly socials, she joined the studioโ€™s performance team to push her dancing skills even further. She has attended congresses in California and Florida, as well as New York City, where she also performed. She became an instructor in 2019, teaching large group classes at all levels and also providing one-on-one instruction through private lessons.

Honey moved to Santa Fe in January 2024. She is thrilled to now be part of the dance community here in New Mexico and is looking forward to sharing her love of dance โ€” and her New York knowledge! โ€” with many more students.
