Paisley Fields is an official SXSW performer and was named one of the festival’s standout musical discoveries by The Austin Chronicle and JamBase. A former touring member of legendary queer country pioneers Lavender Country and a co-writer on Bob the Drag Queen’s viral hit “Purse First,” Fields is widely regarded as a leading voice in contemporary queer country and Americana.
He gained national attention with “Burn This Statehouse Down,” which was featured on Democracy Now, with NPR’s Ann Powers naming it one of her favorite releases of 2023. Out Magazine named him one of “20 Queer Country Artists You Should Know,” while Nashville Scene and CMT recognized him as one of “12 Artists to Watch.”
Fields has toured extensively across the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada, performing at major festivals and venues worldwide. His music has received widespread airplay on CMT, SiriusXM, and international radio.
In addition to his recording and touring career, Fields is a GRAMMY U mentor, a Recording Academy voting member, and currently serves on two Recording Academy committees.
