Native American Portal Summer Youth Show and Sales

  • Courtyard at New Mexico History Museum 113 Lincoln Avenue Santa Fe, NM, 87501 United States (map)

Join us in the courtyard of the New Mexico History Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Sat., July 12 and Sun., July 13, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. for the 2025 Native American Portal Artisans’ Summer Youth Show and Sales.

Support the talents from the next generation of Native American artists and craftspeople. Youth artists aged five to seventeen who specialize in a variety of artistic mediums will be showcasing and selling their work in the museum’s courtyard of the Palace of the Governors. Admission to the Youth Show is free. Enter through the "blue gate" on Lincoln Ave or through the museum’s main entrance. Regular admission applies to visit the rest of the museum.

The event fosters the development of young artists who are descendants of current Native American Artisans Portal Program members and celebrates the importance of the continued traditions of Native American artistry. The Portal Program offers buyers the chance to interact with artisans who display their handmade wares under the portal of the Palace of the Governors, as they have for decades. The ever-changing array of handcrafted items includes pottery, textiles, and jewelry made of traditional materials such as turquoise, coral, and silver.
