Celebrate New Mexico Traditions during Jemez Historic Site’s annual holiday event, Lights of Gisewa in Jemez Springs, New Mexico! Event will take place on Friday and Saturday, December 12 & 13 from 5 - 9 p.m. The remains of Gisewa Pueblo and San José de los Jemez Mission will be decorated with hundreds of farolitos.
The evening includes traditional Native American music, Pueblo dancers performing between two illuminating bonfires, and craft and food vendors.
Tickets for timed entry every 30 minutes are $20 for adults, $10 for children 16 and younger, and free to Tribal members, NM disabled veterans, NM foster families, Museum of New Mexico Foundation members, and Friends of Coronado and Jemez members.
To maintain the safety and enjoyment of high attendance, New Mexico Historic Sites (NMHS) kindly requests that guests refrain from the use of tripods and flash photography. Additionally, while NMHS generally welcomes well-behaved pets on leashes, for the safety of your animals, pets are not allowed at this event. Service animals are always welcome.
