We kick things off with an all-levels Bachata dance class taught by local instructors Joanie and Stephen. No partner or previous experience necessary.
New dancers will learn the basics so they’re ready to hit the dance floor after class. More experienced dancers will enjoy fun variations mixed in as well.8:15 PM

@ hdlatindanceMeet Your Instructors Stephen Smith is a Bachata and Salsa Instructor with 12+ years experience teaching Latin Dance. During the last two summers, Stephen has toured country wide teaching Bachata in 29 cities across 14 states.
Prior to moving to NM, Stephen ran a dance business on Maui, where he taught Bachata and Salsa for 7 years.
Joanie Atkinson is a multi-disciplinary dance artist with 13+ years of teaching experience.
Starting with Irish Step dance at age 5, she transitioned to belly dance at the age of 14, and by age 18 was teaching and performing regularly.
In 2017, she discovered partner dance, starting with Bachata and later expanding to Brazilian Zouk.
