The Santa Fe Bug and Reptile Museum is partnering with the Jean Cocteau Cinema for a special screening on August 10 at 7 PM!
PHENOMENA (also known as CREEPERS) is a 1985 horror film from Italian horror master Dario Argento (SUSPERIA, INFERNO, BIRD WITH THE CRYSTAL PLUMAGE, and many more)! Jennifer Connelly portrays a boarding school student who has the ability to communicate and control insects! This superpower comes in handy when she is forced to confront a mysterious killer. She is helped along the way by a friendly (if kind weird) entomologist portrayed by horror fan favorite Donald Pleasence!
Wade Harrell from the Santa Fe Bug & Reptile Museum will be on hand with a selection of live and preserved arthropods related to the film, and will be talking about the creatures before the movie from an entomological perspective!
PHENOMENA is a wild ride! Note to parents, this is an R-rated horror film and is not suitable for children!
