AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE STUDIO COMPANY
Join us for Program Notes at 6:30 pm, a pre-performance Q&A with ABT Studio Company’s Artistic Director Sascha Radetsky and Lensic Executive Director Joel Aalberts.

ABT Studio Company performs a dynamic program featuring classical favorites and neoclassical excerpts plus original commissions. The performance features a wide variety of styles, offering something for everyone to enjoy – from ballet newcomers to lifelong fans.

American Ballet Theatre Studio Company seeks to develop the next generation of ballet dancers, choreographers and audiences.

The central mission of ABT Studio Company is to prepare its exceptionally promising dancers (ages 17-21) for careers in American Ballet Theatre’s main Company or other leading ballet companies worldwide. ABT Studio Company serves as the crucial vehicle for transitioning from student to professional performer. Nearly 85% of current American Ballet Theatre dancers are alumni of ABT Studio Company, including sixteen Principal Dancers and eleven Soloists.

Since their inception in 1939, ABT has collaborated with the world’s foremost choreographers, integrating tradition with modernity. They showcase masterpieces created on their dancers by luminaries like George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Anthony Tudor, Agnes de Mille, Kenneth MacMillan, and Twyla Tharp, alongside pioneering works by contemporary visionaries such as Alexei Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon, and Wayne McGregor.
