With hero’s like Issac Hayes, Al Green and my personal favorite Otis Redding, Sam “Soulman Sam” Evans can croon with the best of them.  Hot on the club scene especially at his “in house residency” with his 6 piece band at Evangelo’s Cocktail Lounge in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico.  There is no mistaking “Soulman Sam” as you walk down San Francisco Street.  This musical madman was once invited to join the Bar-Kays ont eh 1967 flight that killed Otis Redding.
