NM Power is making an AIDS Quilt which we will debut at the 2012 AIDS Walk on April 28th at Highland High School. In order to do this, we need to collect materials to put the quilt together. If you have any fabric, t-shirts, fabric paint, or any other materials you would like to be used in the AIDS Quilt, please drop them off at our office (4100 Silver SE) 3-11pm M-F or call/text (505) 610-9358 to set up a time to drop off your materials.
We are working to make this a community quilt and encourage you to help us by contributing and/or using your design skills to help build this quilt. Keep in mind, this quilt represents us all whether we are or know of someone who is living, dying, or have fought the battle. We are telling our story about our friends and family. If you want to include pictures, stories, or personal items please do. There is no set theme It will be as diverse as we are.
Starting the first Wednesday in March, we are hosting weekly “Stitch and Bitch” sessions every Wednesday to complete our quilt in time for its debut. All who wish to help put the quilt together are welcome to join us Wednesdays at 8:00pm during March.
Thanks so much your your contributions!
