With her kitchen as her ‘laboratory’ she mixed these fine ingredients in a large coffee pot. She began offering samples to neighbors and friends, which led to the opening of her first Studio in 1931.
Joined in business by her nephew, J.B. Nethercutt’s expertise in chemistry and her unlimited enthusiasm for sales and PR, Merle Norman Cosmetics blossomed and grew. Run today by great nephew Jack B. Nethercutt, Merle Norman continues t be a franchise-owned leader I the beauty industry throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico…and a true American success story.
