Lunch at the Dragon Room by Victor Romero, The Santa Fe ViP

Yes, it’s been long over due for me to pop in for lunch but today I’m glad I did.  It’s about 1:50 and I missed the lunch crowd (thank the lord) and this beautiful sun burnt yellow adobe is as welcoming as the was the old school half white on top and half traditional dark adobe shade below.  You member!

Feeling nostalgic or Old School (in my case), I couldn’t decide on the gypsy stew, green chili stew or my all time favorite onion soup so ducked out the soups and I opted for the Tenderloin of Beef sandwich. Built on toasted rye bread smeared with a horseradish sauce on both sides, the perfect medium tenderloin was sliced and laid graciously on one side of the bread.  The garnish was as fresh as can be. No joke the tomato was perfectly ripped but still had that little crunch.  Sprouts, avocado, red onion along with the special surprise, a pinch of roasted and salted sunflower seeds giving this excellent lunch selection a crunch! Served up with a small scoop of good old-fashioned potato salad and a tasty coleslaw and Mozart over the sound system.

No room for popcorn!

This wasn’t my typical comfort food but quickly becoming so…it’s got my recommendation!

See you at the Pink!
