This local institution is still famous for serving the hottest chile in the entire city different. The Horseman’s Haven owns their own hybrid green chile seed that is specially grown by 7 different farmers in the Hatch River Valley for just the Horseman’s Haven! This is chile so hot it will “knock your socks off your feet”.

The Horseman’s Haven has just celebrated it’s 29th year in business and the city can’t be anymore happier for the Romero Family.

Local New Mexican cuisine that is traditionally prepared like in any home in New Mexico, the Horseman’s Haven is by far the best home cooking restaurant in the entire city.

Prepared with love and hard work which comes through the most flavorful recipes that Rose and Louis Romero created and have carried on in tradition. Just like mom’s and grandma’s cooking! Located in the south part of the city, the Horseman’s Haven offers a menu that is truly New Mexico! Don’t forget to check for the daily specials which include Ribs Adovada, Chicken Rellenos or the chicaron burritos! All servings are generous and they do have breakfast!
