Canyon Road Friday Night Gallery Openings

World Famous Canyon Road Gallery Walk

Friday afternoons are a special time in Santa Fe. During the warmer months they are blessed with the sounds of footsteps, chatter, and camera shutters clicking from visitors from all over the planet gathered together for one reason, the love of art, communion and the beautiful outdoor setting amongst historic old adobe homes, now art galleries. Don’t be shocked if you find the adobe homes more interesting then some of the art hanging it their walls.  The stories they could tell for the past couple of hundred of years!

Once the Spanish barrio (neighborhood), Canyon Road (which was the old route to Pecos) and these timeless adobes have stood the test of time and deserve to be honored and cherished as much as the art available for sale.

Art for all types is offered in the galleries that make up the famous strip. Everything from paintings from great masters, to up and coming artist from all over the world are represented in our collection of galleries.

Nowhere else in town can you find the artistic scope and richness that Canyon Road offers including a wide range including Native American art, early 20th century art by members of New Mexico’s famous art colonies, traditional representational art, and contemporary and abstract art.

Santa Fe is the second largest art market in the nation, and has more art galleries than any other city of its size. On Canyon Road you’ll find more than 100 art galleries and studios, unique specialty shops, world-class restaurants, and the historic adobe architecture that gives Santa Fe its legendary southwestern charm!

Fridays from 5 pm to 7pm the galleries are opened to the public, most galleries have the artist in house and offer complimentary beverage and snack
